Pink Martini

Pop, International, Latin, Jazz, Classical
Location: Portland

Twenty years after the release of Pink Martini's seminal debut album Sympathique, it can finally be heard in the way bandleader Thomas Lauderdale originally envisioned. Pink Martini's arrangement of Maurice Ravel's "Bolero" was a cornerstone of the original album, but was removed due to publishing concerns. Now, finally in the public domain, this song, an audience favorite at Pink Martini concerts, has been restored to its rightful place on this remastered reissue of Sympathique, and the album is finally complete as intended. Head to Music Millennium, grab a copy of our summer issue and show 'em page 19 to get $4 off Pink Martini's Sympathique: 20th Anniversary Edition. Then, don’t miss the little orchestra at the Oregon Zoo on Saturday and Sunday, August 25 and 26.
