MusicPortland Monthly Meetup: at White Eagle Saloon

White Eagle Saloon836 N Russell St. PortlandOR97227

Monday, November 4, 2019 - 6:30pm doors, 7pm show
all ages
free
Every first Monday, Portland’s music industry—artists and music businesses—come together to “constructively kvetch,” as MusicPortland’s executive director Meara McLaughlin jokingly puts it. The grassroots nonprofit is our scene’s advocate for music’s future in the Rose City and these First Monday gatherings are good for networking, getting updates on initiatives (like all-ages access, musician loading zones, seismic threats to venues), learning professional skills, giving your two cents, and sharing a pint with new and old friends. Come at 6:30pm for conversation, stay till they kick ya out! Guest speakers include local instrument and gear manufacturers like Philip Graham of Ear Trumpet Labs and Chris Benson of Benson Amps talking about the upcoming MusicPortland Gear Fest at Polaris Hall on Sunday, November 10. This meetup is all ages before 8pm! Free for all MusicPortland members, click the Get Tickets link below if you haven’t filled out a profile yet or go to: MusicPortland.org/profile

Get ready for the MusicPortland Gear Fest at Polaris Hall on Sunday, November 10! Try out Ear Trumpet Labs’ handcrafted mics, turn Benson Amps up to 11, and explore how CymaSpace fuses light and sound to create immersive, multi-sensory experiences—plus get your mitts on drums, guitars, pedals, synths, cables and studio gear. It all goes down from noon to 6pm and the cost is only $5 cash at the door or $6 with a card. With two floors of boutique gear and instruments, think of it like the NAMM of Portland.
