MusicPortland Monthly Meetup:

Monday, October 7, 2019 - 6pm doors, 6:30pm show
all ages
free
Every first Monday, Portland’s music industry—artists and music businesses—come together to “constructively kvetch,” as MusicPortland’s executive director Meara McLaughlin jokingly puts it. The grassroots nonprofit is our scene’s advocate for music’s future in the Rose City and these First Monday gatherings are good for networking, getting updates on initiatives (like all-ages access, musician loading zones, seismic threats to venues), learning professional skills, giving your two cents, and sharing a pint with new and old friends. Come at 6pm for conversation, stay till they kick ya out! Guest speakers will talk about the promise and challenges of house shows and pop-up musical events. This month is all ages (which means all are free to join after submitting your MusicPortland profile), includes free drinks for those 21 and over, and will be held at the architecturally incredible Bodecker Foundation at 2360 NW Quimby St. Until then, click the Get Tickets link below to RSVP and fill out a profile at bit.ly/MuPoProfile

MusicPortland also partners with J-Fell Presents and Vortex for our quarterly, free, all-ages educational panels for musicians. Watch the live stream from our recent Get Paid! panel on booking, touring and promoting, and listen to a convo with The Future of What on licensing, partnership and sponsorship.
