Local music and Pickles baseball come together at every Friday home game this season and Vortex helped curate the bands. The pregame concerts—all six of ‘em—will take place in the left field berm area at 6pm (gates open at 5:30pm) and are free with your game ticket, which is only $8-12 in the first place! Don’t miss a stellar cross section of NW talent including a horn-filled power pop set from Maurice and the Stiff Sisters on July 5. We can’t wait to rock out and then cheer on the Pickles!

Maurice and the Stiff Sisters have taken “a record, release, play shows” approach to their music making since last November. This has allowed the power pop five-piece to drop a song every month or so while also playing accompanying release shows around town. “You can now listen to seven Maurice and the Stiff Sisters songs online and we couldn’t be more proud of how they turned out,” frontman Maurice Spencer says.... read more
