$15 advance, $20 day of show
Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort have released 13 records as part of their respective projects, Just People and Sarah Wild, as well as together as Fox and Bones. All the while, the couple have gigged all over town and traveled across the nation and Europe together gathering friends along the way. All of these connections have led to the first annual Portland's Folk Festival, featuring a "carefully curated lineup highlighting some of the best folk and Americana acts that the West Coast has to offer," Gilmore says. That includes great folk, pop, soul and stringy locals like Those Willows, Worth, Haley Johnsen, Pretty Gritty, Elke Robitaille, Hannah Haas, Hammerhead, Benji Burgess, Onward, etc. (from Bend), and Papa Bear and the Easy Love (SF). It's "a by artists for artists type of thing," he says, with ambitions to expand to two days in 2019. But for this year, music starts at 4pm and goes till 1am!
