$35 advance, $35 day of show
Artists Repertory Theatre continues its season with 'La Ruta,' based on real-life testimonies of the women of Juárez, Mexico, who have been mysteriously disappearing. Featuring live music by Fabi Reyna of Sávila, the intensely harrowing 'La Ruta' gives a passionate voice to the women who have disappeared. And we’re excited to continue our Musical Interlude series—where artists perform stripped-down versions of their songs and tell the stories behind them—with ART. After this Thirsty Thursday performance of ‘La Ruta’—which comes with a glass of Lagunitas Beer (play starts at 7:30pm and Musical Interlude kicks off around 9:15pm)—you’ll be able to enjoy the introspective improvisation of the jazz trio Illegal Son. Featuring Grammy-winning trombonist Denzel Mendoza (Haley Heynderickx, Kulululu), the project tells his stories of the intricacies of being undocumented.
