Nate Snell is the fearless leader of both Pip's Original Doughnuts & Chai and the adjacent, nonprofit recording studio Singing Sands, which he built from the ground up in order to house all his vintage instruments and gear as well as record his band's debut LP. Much like the ethos Snell has instilled at Pip's, Singing Sands is all about community. "We created a warm and welcoming space free from the pressures of time and finances," Snell describes. "Everything works in harmony to foster an environment of maximum creativity." Plus the doughnuts aren't too far away! Come celebrate Pip's birthday with Pacific Latitudes' first gig in a long while and hear new songs from the band's impending record, the anticipated shoegazey effort 'Ghosts in the Land of Promise' (due out on vinyl in October), alongside the power pop of Mo Troper and the country twang of Kassi Valazza.
