Kyle Carnes

When he's not moonlighting as a Portland concert photographer or ducking and weaving, camera in hand at weddings throughout the Northwest and beyond, Kyle can be found tromping beneath evergreens, scaling boulders, surfing snow, or absorbing and critiquing the cinematography of indie flicks. Inspired by photographers such as James Nachtwey, Henri-Cartier Bresson, Annie Leibovitz, Sebastião Salgado and Martin Schoeller, Kyle enjoys walking the line between documentarian and creative portraitist while capturing musicians on stage, newlyweds in love, or even his cat, Auryn, clawing at his favorite plaid armchair.
