Last fall, fiddler Collin Stackhouse brought a pop singer, a cello teacher and an old-time guitar player together to craft a live studio record in a week. The title track to Hottest Summer Yet is simultaneously about Grindr, personal growth and the horrors of climate change. The full album of “uncommon Americana” is out June 12.
