New to Portland from Oahu, Hawaii, singer-songwriter Matt Michael (originally hailing from Syracuse, N.Y.) plays a blend of alternative rock genres in an almost acoustic fashion while using foot percussion. Driven by a romantic, outlaw spirit, he also fronts the band Sunstrokes, which started in 2014, but is readying his first solo EP for the end of summer. Look for lots of new music and videos.
