For the fourth year in a row, the Best of Portland showcase brought School of Rock students together onstage with Portland musicians to perform PDX-made music at the Wonder Ballroom on Saturday, January 31.

Featuring some 23 Portland bands playing a song from their latest record, plus a special show-ending set by Stephen Malkmus and the students, the 2015 bill featured the likes of Red Fang, Aan, The Body, Like A Villian, Tiburones, Modern Kin, Sama Dams, The Cry! and The Stops, as well as the artists featured in our Mixtape Monday playlist (listen below): Wild Ones, Musée Mécanique, Natasha Kmeto, Guantanamo Baywatch, 1939 Ensemble, Gaytheist, The Shivas, Summer Cannibals, Bearcubbin’!, WL, Lee Corey Oswald, Ripley Snell and TxE.
