Mixtape Monday: Dance Yourself Clean

Vortex Music Magazine

In anticipation of DYC's first-ever PDX affair, here's a little taste of what you can expect this Friday, September 19 at The Rose.

Dance Yourself Clean is a collective of Seattle- and L.A.-based DJs asking you to "leave your expectations and inhibitions at the door."

Armed with fog machines and lasers, these aficionados of LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk and Glass Candy, experts at Justice and Gossip, authorities on Chromeo, Cut Copy and CHVRCHES, masters of mixing Phantogram with Purity Ring and Miami Horror, and absolutely a pack of Major Lazer whizzes and RAC hotshots turn down the lights and turn up the foxy jams.

Currently a weekly indie dance night both north and south of these parts, DYC are bringing their sweaty party to Portland for the first time on Friday, September 19 at The Rose. And in anticipation their first-ever booty-shakin' affair in PDX, Team DYC have put together a little sampler exclusively for Vortex saying, "Here's what you have to look forward to this Friday."
