All Is Calm From The Banana Stand with Bevelers' 'Can't Seem To Smile' [Video Premiere]

Get a copy of Bevelers' 'Live From The Banana Stand' a few days early when they open for Shook Twins at The Old Church on April 30.

Back in March, the minimalist folk duo Bevelers stopped by The Banana Stand for an intimate, stripped-down set that The Stand is now set to release on May 5—but you can get the 12-track record a few days early if you catch the band opening for Shook Twins at The Old Church on Thursday, April 30.

Until then, you can enjoy a sample of their harmonious interplay on "Can't Seem To Smile" below. The Stand's Aaron Colter says:

"This haunting song comes from the upcoming album The Bevelers' Live From The Banana Stand. The duo's voices shine over slow guitar strums and are so pitch perfect that you forget you're listening to a live recording until you hear a faint rustle from the mouse-quiet audience. It's rare that you could hear a pin drop in a Portland basement show, but the results were worth the stillness."

Catch Bevelers and Shook Twins at The Old Church on April 30 as the final show of KPSU's 30 Shows in 30 Days—free for all PSU students or $5 at the door.
