Owner's Statement
Rainwater Records is an all-volunteer, nonprofit record label based in Portland, Ore. It is our intention to cultivate a family of career, independent artists by thoughtfully marketing and selling their recorded music and related merchandise. We are committed to the economic mobility of our artist family and fully support their brand without owning any of the music they create. Collectively, we build a solid foundation for the discovery of the arts with school programs aimed at the formative years. Our founders, Bill Lewis and Bettina Chuck, envision a place where career artists, of all genres, can be welcomed in, with no requirement of eminent fame, and allowed to create freely. We endeavor to make this a reality here, at Rainwater Records.
