MiCRO stands for Musicians in Crisis Relief Organization and was founded by Lisa Walters "to help provide emergency relief to unsigned, independent musicians in times of need. MiCRO aims to provide small grants to help alleviate financial burdens in times of urgency or crisis such as emergencies while on tour, healthcare or other expenses that jeopardize the musicians well-being, and in certain cases funds that will help the musician keep working."
