From the small mountain town of Welches, Ore., Liz grew up surrounded by music. She spent most of her preteen years obsessing over The Beatles and admits to writing a lot of fan fiction. Her parents played in bluegrass bands and she often attended festivals as a young adult; meanwhile, her brother was playing in metal and punk bands across area venues (RIP Satyricon). She focused her music making mainly on the flute, playing in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and toured Europe with the Oregon Ambassadors of Music. She bounced all over Oregon, and even Montana where she obtained a bachelor's in creative writing from the University of Montana. Music has never left her passions and she hopes to pursue a long career involved with the #PDXmusic industry. Follow her journey on Instagram @lizzasauruss and contact her at liz [at] vrtxmag.com.
