The Breaking

Rock, Pop
Location: Portland

Alt-rock revivalists The Breaking stepped straight out of 1995, mining the rich soundscape of mid-’90s guitar pop where brooding introspection gives way to anthemic choruses and infectious guitar hooks. Drawing inspiration from bands like Failure, R.E.M., Soundgarden and early Radiohead, their sound is strikingly familiar but originally crafted, remaining firmly rooted in the alternative rock tradition of the Cascadian glory days.
