Lee and the Bees

Pop, Folk, Rock
Location: Portland

Featuring drums, bass, guitar and synths with accents of trumpet and violin underneath the resonant, layered vocals of frontwoman Lee Aulson (also of Bevelers), Lee and the Bees’ debut album Feel Feelings went ballad-surf rock on everyone. Made at Revolver and Gold Brick Studios with producer Cameron Spies, her music is a reopening of past lyrics, scribbles and two-chord songs recorded and buried in a phone before being brought back into the fold. In the end, it’s a culmination of “all the feels.” For fans of Rilo Kiley, Shannon and the Clams and Cat Power, Feel Feelings is out now—listen on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.
