Pop, Latin, Folk
Location: Portland

EMMA, the debut album from Emma Platais, is an expression of her Brazilian-American identity that blends the different Latinx cultures that have touched her life. A child of both North and South American parents who grew up in Central America, she’s inspired by a deep awareness of and respect for the spirit that the cultures in the Americas hold, and writes in Spanish, Portuguese and English while incorporating her many geographic influences such as cumbia, samba and côco. For fans of Natalia LaFourcade, Mayra Andrade and First Aid Kit, watch the video for her first single “Across the Sea” on YouTube and stream EMMA on all digital platforms.
