Cash only for gate and parking ($5 per car in designated areas along the parade route), children under 3 free: Music and family fun activities take place on the Corbett Grade School grounds at 35800 E Historic Columbia River Hwy. Live music starts at 11:45am following the parade (which starts at 10am) and the night ends with a Fourth of July fireworks show at 10:30pm!

Head a little east for Fourth of July this year and stop in Corbett for the community's 44th annual Independence Day festival featuring a pancake breakfast and an old-fashioned parade before the family activities, elephant ears, and (most importantly) a full day of local music kicks off on the Corbett School grounds—gates open at 11am. Come nightfall, the alcohol-free and smoke-free event will feature the only fireworks showcase in east county, which is also the third largest in the metro area!

Now for the good stuff. This year's impeccably curated lineup includes sets from:

Water Tower
The Strange Tones
Brownish Black (listen to the titular track—"Life Lessons"—from their new record, due out in June, below)
Orquestra Pacifico Tropical
Liz Vice
Samsel (whose song "Shoes" is featured in the video above)
School of Rock Portland students

Plus, other activities throughout the day include K9 Kings Flying Dog Show, a rock wall, mechanical bull, obstacle course, bounce house, water slide, mini golf, water tag, pony rides, petting zoo, pie eating contest, whole hog raffle, spelling bee, a community square dance and more!
